Netgen signs MoUs with ITI Shimla and Sunni for skill upgradation
The Industrial Training Institutes (ITI) of Shimla and Sunni have signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Netgen IT Solutions Pvt Ltd, a Shimla-based software development company, covering skill development, technological upgradation, and industrial training — aimed at closing the gap between what training institutes teach and what industry actually needs.
The agreements were signed between the principals of the Shimla and Sunni ITIs and Rajneesh Rana, MD of Netgen IT Solutions.
Under the agreement, the institutes will work with Netgen to keep practical training and education aligned with changing technological needs, including a review of curriculum and resource materials. The two ITIs will also collaborate with the company on joint projects covering a range of industrial solutions, and the agreement allows for faculty exchange to improve training quality and build a better learning environment.
Ongoing workshops and training camps will run to keep students current on the latest skills and improve their employability, alongside guest lectures covering new developments, evolving processes, and coding approaches suited to local requirements.
Netgen has agreed to train up to 30 students from these institutes each year; in return, the institutes will provide classroom training to Netgen employees when the company requests it. The MoU runs for three years.
Principal L. R. Verma of ITI Shimla said, “Both the industry and the institute stand to gain from this agreement, as it will enable us to align our training curriculum with industrial needs and improve the employability of our trained students.”
Rajneesh Rana, MD of Netgen IT Solutions, said, “This partnership will go a long way toward meeting the present-day requirements of the industry, as IT is such an innovative and competitive field that keeping pace with newer and evolving technologies is essential.”
Netgen IT Solutions has been serving global and local clients, as well as state government departments and undertakings, for more than five years from its office at the Software Technology Park of India in Kasumpati, Shimla.
