We run industrial training and internships out of our Shimla office under LearnSmart HP, our training programme, taught by the developers who build the government portals and business systems the company ships. The projects are live, the review is the same review our own work gets, and the point is that you leave able to do the job rather than able to describe it.
Internships for college students
Two routes in, depending on what you need and what you can commit. Both put you on live client work with a supervisor — the difference is depth and whether you’re paid.
- Industry exposure internship — unpaid. The short one, for students who need documented industry exposure for a college requirement. You sit with a project team, take supervised tasks on real work, and leave with a certificate and something specific to talk about in an interview. No prior experience assumed beyond basic computer literacy.
- Project internship — paid. The longer one, for students who can commit properly and are ready to contribute. You’re given real responsibility on a live build, reviewed the way our developers are reviewed, and paid a stipend for the work. Places are limited per intake and we select for readiness, not for who applied first.
- ITI partnership places. Students from ITI Shimla and ITI Sunni come through the memoranda described below, which commit us to up to 30 students a year across the two institutes.
If you’re unsure which fits, apply anyway and say what you’re studying — we’d rather place you on the right one than have you pick blind.
Working with the ITIs
In 2019 we signed memoranda of understanding with the Industrial Training Institutes at Shimla and Sunni, covering curriculum review, faculty exchange, joint projects and workshops, and committing to train up to 30 students a year from the two institutes. The full agreement is written up in our note on the MoUs.
The reason it existed is the reason the training programme exists: what an institute teaches and what a working development team needs drift apart quickly, and the gap is closed by putting students on real projects rather than by rewriting a syllabus once every few years.
What the training isn’t
- Not a lecture course. You’ll be on live projects with a supervisor, reviewed the way our developers are reviewed.
- Not a placement guarantee. We provide placement assistance and introductions through contacts we actually have. Anyone promising you a job in writing is selling you something else.
- Not a certificate mill. The certificate follows completed work. If the work isn’t finished, neither is the course.

HTML and CSS through to JavaScript, server-side scripting and the frameworks actually used on client work — front end and back end, not one without the other.
Web designing
UI and UX principles, wireframing and prototyping, responsive technique and the Adobe tools the work runs through.

Mobile fundamentals across iOS and Android, cross-platform builds, interface design and what it takes to get something through store review.
SEO & social media
Keyword work, analytics and the metrics that matter, content strategy and social media management — measured, not posted and hoped for.
APIs & payment gateways
REST APIs, authentication methods and payment gateway integration, including what handling a transaction securely actually requires.
AI & machine learning
Supervised and unsupervised learning, neural networks, data preprocessing and feature engineering, then evaluating and deploying a model rather than stopping at training it.
How we work
The process, in order

Apply
Tell us what you've studied and what you want to work on. There's no entrance test — the beginner track assumes basic computer literacy and nothing else.
- 02
Match
We place you on a track sized to where you actually are: three months for fundamentals, six for framework-level work, nine for full stack.
- 03
Build
Live projects supervised by the developers who ship client work, in our Kasumpati office or online, on a schedule that works around a college timetable.
- 04
Certify
A certificate on completion, plus placement assistance through the industry contacts the company already has.
